They are… but most people don’t remember this movie. Werewolf of London was the first American mainstream werewolf movie and was done six years before Lon Chaney Jr., slapped a bunch of hair all over his face and started barking at the moon in The Wolf Man. Jack Pierce did the make up for both movies (as well as a bunch more including Frankenstein and Bride Of…) so you know it was awesome! I really need to start doing pub quiz or something.
